I Am...
Horsewoman, Trail Advocate, and Animal Nutrition Advocate
Horse owner, trail rider, and President of Front Range Back Country Horsemen, dedicated to helping animals thrive through proper nutrition.
My Story
I’ve loved horses for as long as I can remember, and I have my parents to thank for that. Nearly every weekend, they would take me to a local pony ring to ride, and when I was just two years old they bought me my very first pony—a little Shetland named Punkin. Some of my most treasured childhood memories are riding that pony, and from that moment on, my passion for horses only grew stronger.
Growing up, I spent many years involved in 4-H in the horse division and later served as a Junior Leader. Those years were filled with parades, horse shows, gymkhanas, and countless hours in the saddle. In 1983, I was honored to be selected as the Colorado Paint Horse Queen, where I had the opportunity to travel throughout the state promoting the Paint Horse breed and connecting with other horse enthusiasts.
Giving back to the horse community has always been an important part of my life. I served for 10 years on the Executive Board of Parker Trail Riders, holding several leadership positions, and six years on the Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce Board, supporting local businesses and community growth.
Today I share my life with three wonderful horses: Stetson, a registered Paint; Jake, a registered Quarter Horse; and Maverick, whom I adopted from Terolyn Horse Rescue. Riding and camping with my horses in the Colorado high country is one of my greatest joys, and over the years, I’ve been fortunate to explore many beautiful miles of the Colorado Rocky Mountains from the saddle. I’ve also enjoyed competing in the Colorado Obstacle Challenge Series.
My love for animals extends beyond horses. At the barn, you’ll find my barn kitties, Shadow and Lucy, while at home, Jasper, Remy, Dolly and Molly keep life entertaining. I’m also lucky to share life with my sweet Border Collies, Cooper and Jazz, and my newest addition, Kendall, an Australian Shepherd.
I deeply cherish my life with my husband, Randy in Bennett, Colorado.
Preserving Trails for Future Generations
As President of Front Range Back Country Horsemen, I’m proud to be part of an organization dedicated to keeping trails open and accessible for horsemen and other trail users.
Our members volunteer countless hours each year working on trail maintenance, clearing downed trees, repairing erosion damage, and partnering with public land agencies to care for the trails we all enjoy.
Responsible stewardship of our public lands is very important to me. Through this organization, we work to ensure that future generations will continue to enjoy riding and exploring the backcountry with their horses.
Why I Became a Dealer
After decades of caring for horses, I’ve learned that proper nutrition makes an incredible difference in their health, comfort, and performance. About 15 years ago I began using SweetPro® products and quickly saw the results firsthand—my horses shed faster in the spring, their hooves became healthier, their muscle tone improved, and even my feed costs went down.
What impressed me most was that SweetPro® products contain no sugar, no starch, and no molasses, something that can make a huge difference in maintaining healthy animals.
As my horses aged and became harder keepers, especially with arthritis and weight maintenance, I saw how much proper nutrition could help them stay comfortable and maintain condition. Because I believed so strongly in the results I was seeing, I decided to become a dealer so I could share these products with other horse owners who want the very best for their animals.
Over time I’ve also added other natural, non-chemical products to my business, including the full line of Equiderma products, Coat Defense, and H & J CBD Equine Supplements.
Why People Trust My Recommendations
When I recommend a product, it’s because I’ve personally used it with my own horses and animals. I understand the challenges horse owners face—from maintaining healthy weight in senior horses to keeping animals comfortable and performing their best.
I focus on products that support natural nutrition, healthy coats and hooves, strong immune systems, and overall animal wellness.
My goal is simple: to help other horse and animal owners find products that truly work and support the long-term health of the animals they love.
